About Centro Cultural Paraguayo Americano (CCPA)
The Centro Cultural Paraguayo Americano (CCPA) has promoted art and culture in Paraguay since 1942, through events, concerts, exhibitions, and partnerships, with an emphasis on cultural exchange between Paraguay and the United States. Its Cultural Department plans activities each year that celebrate local and international creativity.
Its headquarters houses the Teatro de las Américas, an air-conditioned hall with seating for 293, a foyer, dressing rooms, and professional sound and lighting equipment, used for theatrical productions, concerts, film series, conferences, and educational activities.
The CCPA's cultural programs include the Youth Chamber Orchestra, the CCPA Jazz Quintet, the Paraguayan Film Series (since 2015), the Elden Tefft visual arts competition, and animation partnerships such as Paraguay Animation (the JAGUATA competition).
