Nissei is one of Paraguay's most recognized technology and electronics retailers, with over four decades of history. Founded on October 15, 1981 in Ciudad del Este by Gustavo Miura—an entrepreneur of Japanese heritage—the company started as a small wholesale office and later opened a Sony product showroom. Today it operates stores in Ciudad del Este and Asunción, along with one of the country's leading e-commerce platforms.

Nissei specializes in consumer electronics and computing, with a catalog covering smartphones, notebooks, tablets, cameras, projectors, televisions, gaming consoles, smartwatches, flash drives, perfumes, and beverages. It is an authorized reseller of Apple and Starlink, and an official distributor of Sony, Canon, Nikon, Sigma, Garmin, Asus, SanDisk, Western Digital, and Intel—ensuring customers receive genuine products with official manufacturer warranties.

Its business model blends in-store sales with a robust online channel and in-store pickup. The company's philosophy draws from Japanese hospitality principles (omotenashi), and CEO Gustavo Miura emphasizes trust and service excellence as core pillars. In 2021, Nissei opened its first Asunción branch in Villa Morra, and in April 2026 inaugurated a second Experience Center at Distrito Perseverancia—its first store open on Sundays—reflecting sustained expansion into the capital market.
