About Shopping China Importados
Shopping China Importados is Paraguay's largest and most traditional imported-goods retailer. It began in 1933 when Italian immigrant Felipe Cogorno opened "Casa China" in Pedro Juan Caballero; in 2000 it adopted the name Shopping China.
It offers over 150,000 product varieties in electronics, appliances, perfumery and cosmetics, beverages, IT, footwear, home and décor, with in-store border shopping, e-commerce and door-to-door shipping. It was named Importer of the Year 2025 and earned a TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice 2025. It employs around 1,800 people.
It operates 3 branches in Paraguay: Ciudad del Este, Salto del Guairá and Pedro Juan Caballero, plus free shops in neighboring countries.
