Industria Metalurgica Schussmuller S.A. is one of the main steel and metallurgical companies in Paraguay. It began its steel industrialization activity in 1995 with a plant located in Capiata, Central department, at Km 18.5 of the Mariscal Estigarribia Route; its facilities today exceed 30,000 m2. The company operates some 20 production lines and manufactures structural tubes, structural profiles, road barriers (guardrails) and roofing sheets (corrugated, trapezoidal and tile-type in colonial, Spanish and Dutch styles), in addition to rolling black and galvanized sheets in special sizes. It also supplies thick black sheets used in the manufacture of trailers, bodywork, water and fuel tanks, cisterns, silos and various machinery. Its production capacity is around 60,000 tons per year. It supplies both the local construction and industry market as well as exports to Mercosur countries, positioning itself as a national benchmark in steel products.
