Monalisa is the most traditional premium department store of Ciudad del Este, active in the multi-sector market since 1972. Over more than four decades it has established itself as a symbol of Paraguay's border shopping tourism, specializing in high-end products. The store is strategically located on Avenida Monsenor Rodriguez, the main avenue of Ciudad del Este, near the Friendship Bridge that connects with Foz do Iguacu (Brazil). Its building is organized on several thematic levels: a cellar of fine wines, liquors and cigars in the basement; cosmetics, perfumery, watchmaking, jewelry and accessories departments on the main floors; and electronics, toys and fashion sectors. Monalisa is a benchmark in perfume sales in Paraguay and works with an extensive portfolio of international luxury brands, among them Gucci, Versace, Giorgio Armani, Kenzo, Lancome, Montblanc, Michael Kors, Lacoste, Givenchy and Bvlgari. Its proposal of imported products, high-end perfumery and European wines keeps it as a prominent destination for buyers from all over the Southern Cone.
