About Anfiteatro José Asunción Flores
The José Asunción Flores Amphitheater opened on September 24, 1992, with the so-called "Noche Paraguaya," driven by businessman Rubén Hug de Belmont together with other partners grouped as Lago Vista SA. It bears the name of the creator of the guarania, in tribute to one of the country's most important musicians.
Built on a nearly 9-hectare plot with room for about 20,000 spectators, it sits on the slopes of the Altos mountain range, with Lake Ypacaraí and the San Bernardino valley in the background. After years of neglect, since the early 2010s it has again hosted summer concerts.
