Frequently asked questions

What do “house buys” and “house sells” mean?

They are prices from the exchange house’s point of view. If you sell dollars, the house buys them from you at the “buy” price. If you want to buy dollars, the house sells them to you at the “sell” price, which is always a little higher.

How often are the rates updated?

We check the prices each house publishes several times a day during business hours. Every row shows the time of its own quote, and those that have not been updated for hours are flagged.

Why does one house show a different price from another?

Each house sets its own board based on stock, demand and margin. That is why comparing pays off: the gap between the best and the worst house can be tens of guaraníes per dollar, which adds up on larger amounts.

Is this the price I will get at the counter?

It is a reference. Some houses improve the price by amount or branch, and the board can change during the day. Always confirm before you trade.
