About Casa Rica
Casa Rica is Asunción's leading premium gourmet supermarket chain. Founded in 1989 by the Lange-Hiebl family —German immigrants— and operated by Alimentos Especiales S.A., it evolved from a German-flavored bakery into a 'gourmet market' that redefined the supermarket concept in Paraguay.
Its offer combines imported and specialty products, a strong German-rooted bakery and pastry selection, and the El Molinillo café-restaurant integrated into every branch. It is also the country's online shopping leader, with ~880 employees and ~500 suppliers, many of them local SMEs.
It operates 4 branches in Asunción: España (Villa Morra, flagship), Molas López (Carmelitas), Los Laureles, and Distrito Perseverancia.
