About Auditorio de la Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional
The Auditorio de la Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional is located at the OSN headquarters, at Tte. Cnel. Ayala Velázquez 376 near Cap. Brizuela, in Asunción, behind the Olimpia club stadium.
The Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional del Paraguay is the official orchestra of the Paraguayan State. It was created by a 2004 law and gave its first concert on 19 August of that year, conducted by its founder, maestro Florentín Giménez. A 2008 law declared it part of the nation's cultural heritage.
In its hall the orchestra offers recitals, chamber concerts and educational activities, many of them free of charge. Season symphony concerts are usually held in larger theaters in the city.
