About Grupo Timbo

Grupo Timbo is a Paraguayan conglomerate dedicated to the import, marketing, service and financing of transport equipment and heavy machinery. Its history began more than three decades ago with engineer Rolando Zuccolillo, who acquired the first trucks imported from Europe for the loggers of his father's business. Today the group offers a wide variety of solutions for the transport sector: new 0 km trucks, reconditioned used trucks, semi-trailers, buses, special equipment, cranes, heavy machinery and automobiles. Through its company Cathay S.A. it markets the Sinotruk truck line, used Scania trucks, Librelato, Facchini and Noma semi-trailers, the complete line of construction machinery of the Sany brand and electric cars of the BAIC brand. In 2017, at its Fernando de la Mora headquarters, the group inaugurated a heavy truck assembly plant -a pioneer in the country in that sector-, where it assembles Sinotruk trucks and extra-heavy tractor-trucks, generating employment and adding local value to the import of cargo vehicles. The company, which lists bonds on the Asuncion Stock Exchange through Cathay, has its head office on Avenida Madame Elisa A. Lynch in Fernando de la Mora, positioning itself as a benchmark of the truck and machinery market in Paraguay.
