About ADM Paraguay
ADM (Archer Daniels Midland) operates in Paraguay as one of the main exporting and processing companies of grains and oilseeds, dedicated to the buying and selling of soybeans, corn, wheat and other grains, their industrialization and logistics services. Its largest asset is the soybean complex inaugurated in Villeta, south of Asuncion, which began operating experimentally at the end of 2012 with an investment of US$ 180 million. The plant has the capacity to process up to 3,500 tons of soybeans per day and includes an oil extraction plant, protein meal production and pelletized hull processing, with an approximate annual production of 250,000 tons of oil, 912,000 tons of meal and 60,000 tons of pelletized hull. ADM also operates a fertilizer plant with a capacity of 300,000 tons per year and has some 13 tugboats and 30 barges to import inputs and export its products via the waterway. The company generates around 1,300 direct jobs in the country, distributed among oil processing, fertilizer plant, ports, logistics, silos, technical assistance and administration. Its corporate office is located in Asuncion, on Avenida Aviadores del Chaco. The local operation integrates Paraguay -the sixth producer and among the world's leading soybean exporters- into ADM's global grain processing and trade network.
