La Independencia de Seguros

La Independencia de Seguros appears in the registry of authorized insurers published by the Superintendency of Insurance, part of the Central Bank of Paraguay. According to its own website, "the Company was created in 1965 by the Caja de Jubilaciones y Pensiones de Empleados Bancarios y afines under the name 'La Independencia de Seguros y Reaseguros S.A.'" It began operating in 1966 with fire insurance policies, and in 1975 added collective life insurance for bank employees.

Its head office is in Asunción, in the Parapiti building on Juan E. O'Leary street at Estrella. According to its site, the company "operates in all sections of insurance," organized into the categories of Personal Insurance, Business Insurance and Financial Institution Insurance.
