La Rural Seguros

La Rural S.A. de Seguros is an insurance company registered with the Superintendency of Insurance, under the Central Bank of Paraguay. According to its own institutional page, it was founded in 1920 as La Previsión to cover the insurance needs of multinational companies in Paraguay. In 1925 it changed its name to La Rural del Paraguay S.A. de Seguros, in the 1940s it became independent from its Argentine counterpart, and in 1973 it became affiliated with a Japanese insurance company. In 1996 it simplified its name to its current one, La Rural S.A. de Seguros, for better local identification. Its head office is in Asunción, and it offers auto, transport, theft, business, fire, home, surety, personal and technical risk insurance, with regional offices in several cities across the country.
