About Mercosur Cambios
Mercosur Cambios S.A. was authorized by the Central Bank of Paraguay to operate as a currency exchange house on November 27, 1998, under Resolution No. 11, Minutes No. 212. According to its own site, the current executive leadership took over the entity in July 2003.
The company states it offers buying, selling and exchanging foreign banknotes (dollars, reals, Argentine pesos and euros), buying and selling currency through transfers, buying, selling or issuing checks, currency arbitrage, bill payment collection via Pago Express, and local money orders between San Alberto and Ciudad del Este. Its first branch, Gran Vía Km 4, began operating on April 24, 2007 in Ciudad del Este, and its San Alberto branch started operating on January 14, 2013.
