Río Seguros

Río Seguros S.A. is an insurer registered with Paraguay's Superintendency of Insurance, under the Central Bank of Paraguay. According to the history published on its own website, it was formed in 2016 as Nobleza Seguros S.A. to sell auto insurance policies, backed by Grupo Michelagnoli. In 2017 Financiera Río S.A.E.C.A. acquired the majority shareholding, and in 2019 Banco Río S.A.E.C.A. -formed from the merger of Financiera Río with Banco Itapúa- acquired the shareholding of Aseguradora del Sur through a merger by absorption. Nobleza Seguros then became Río Seguros, as part of the unification of Grupo Río. In 2025 Río Seguros began joining Interfisa Banco, backed by Grupo Cogorno. Its head office is in Asunción, and it offers auto, life, home, business and cargo transport insurance.
