Cheers

A restaurant in Itapúa's yerba mate country

Hohenau

About Cheers

Cheers is a restaurant in Hohenau.

Founded by German settlers in the early 20th century, Hohenau is one of three towns in the triángulo de las colonias, along with Obligado and Bella Vista, in the yerba mate heartland of Itapúa, on Route 6. The heritage of the German settlers is still visible in the town's character. Its streets and old houses still carry traces of the architecture brought by the first settlers. Family names and even the architecture of some houses still recall the German origin of many of the town's first residents.
