About La Flor de la Canela
La Flor de la Canela is Asunción's oldest and most recognized Peruvian culinary institution, opening its doors on August 4, 1992 in the historic center of the city. With over 30 years of uninterrupted history, this restaurant has become the essential reference for all lovers of Peruvian gastronomy in Paraguay. The décor, colorful with kitsch touches, evokes the warmth of Lima neighborhood restaurants. The menu is generous and includes the unconditional classics of Peruvian cuisine: fresh ceviches with well-spiced leche de tigre, stuffed causas, fish tiradito, lomo saltado, ají de gallina, arroz con leche and picarones. Portions are very generous and prices are affordable. The Peruvian Embassy in Paraguay's gastronomic guide includes it among its recommendations.
