About Cervecería Paraguaya (Cervepar)
Cervecería Paraguaya S.A. (Cervepar) is the leading brewery in the country. Its origins date back to August 27, 1910, when it was founded as Cerveceria Nacional; in 1939 it adopted its current corporate name. In 1995 it inaugurated its modern plant in Ypane, Central department, about 30 km from Asuncion, with an installed capacity of approximately 2.5 million hectoliters per year and operation 365 days a year. Since the global merger of InBev with Anheuser-Busch in 2008, it has been part of the Anheuser-Busch InBev group (AB InBev), the largest brewing conglomerate in the world. It manufactures and distributes some twenty brands throughout the national territory, among them the local Pilsen and Ouro Fino and the international Brahma, Budweiser, Stella Artois and Corona. Pilsen is the most recalled and leading brand in the Paraguayan market. The company also operates several distribution centers that supply the entire country and maintains quality and sustainability programs aligned with the standards of its parent company.
