Mega Plasticos S.A. is the largest plastics manufacturer in Paraguay. It was founded at the beginning of the 2000s in Minga Guazu, department of Alto Parana, a strategic location in the triple border area between Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina, by an entrepreneur with extensive experience in the manufacture of laminates. What began with some 10,000 m2 of built area became the largest plastics industrial park in the region: it has about 75,000 m2 of production warehouses on a plot of some 140,000 m2. Its production is 100% verticalized and has ISO certification. It manufactures synthetic laminates, nonwoven fabrics (NWF with multilayer polypropylene spunbond technology), hospital material, textile meshes, tubes and films, among other products. It exports to more than 10 countries and provides work for hundreds of direct collaborators and thousands of indirect ones, supporting more than 600 families, which establishes it as one of the most significant industrial forces in the country.
