About Raízen Paraguay S.A.
Raízen Paraguay S.A. is the subsidiary of Brazilian multinational Raízen — a joint venture between Royal Dutch Shell and Cosan Group — that operates the Shell brand in Paraguay. The company entered the Paraguayan market in 2021 by acquiring 50% of fuel distributor Barcos & Rodados, bringing the Shell brand back to the country. In 2022, it ranked as Paraguay's third largest importer with USD 337 million in imports. Raízen is a globally recognized integrated bioenergy and fuel distribution company that also operates in ethanol and sugar production worldwide.
