Villamorra Shopping
About Villamorra Shopping
Villamorra Shopping was founded on February 20, 1978 on Avenida Mariscal Lopez, in the Villa Morra neighborhood, and is recognized as the first shopping mall in Asuncion. It was born at the hands of a family of Italian immigrants who anticipated the growth of the neighborhood and, after a fire in 1981, it was completely rebuilt while maintaining its human scale and family atmosphere. Over more than four decades it built an intergenerational relationship with its public. It brings together more than 80 commercial premises and around 10 gastronomic premises, combining local shops, brands, gastronomy and entertainment. In terms of leisure it has the Villamorra Cinecenter, a cinema with six modern screens, including one with a 3D projection system, as well as recreation centers such as a bowling alley and a video game area. The complex also integrates a supermarket and daily-use services, along with parking. Its location on the axis of Avenida Mariscal Lopez, in the very heart of Villa Morra, one of the most traditional residential and commercial areas of the capital, distinguishes it as a consolidated neighborhood center, with close treatment and strong family roots, which over time has undertaken processes of transformation and modernization to maintain its relevance.
