About Monday Waterfalls
The Monday Waterfalls (officially renamed in June 2024, formerly Saltos del Monday) are the most visited tourist destination in eastern Paraguay and second nationally, after the Itaipú Dam. Located in Monday Municipal Park, 10 km from Presidente Franco and 40 km from Ciudad del Este, the falls are approximately 40 meters high and 120 meters wide, forming three main cascades that plunge into the Paraná River. The park offers a complete nature experience: a summit viewpoint, a glass-walled panoramic elevator descending to the base, hiking trails, zip-lining and adventure activities. Natural pools at the top are perfect for swimming. Ideal for visitors coming from Ciudad del Este or Foz do Iguaçu.
