About Minga Guazú

<p>Minga Guazú is a district in the department of Alto Paraná located in the vicinity of Ciudad del Este, the departmental capital. Its Guaraní name combines <em>minga</em>—communal labor—and <em>guazú</em>—large—reflecting both its cultural heritage and its relative size within the department.</p><p>Proximity to Ciudad del Este gives the district a more urban and diversified character than many other Alto Paraná municipalities. Alongside agriculture, commerce and services have a significant presence, in line with the economic dynamism of the border zone with Brazil.</p>
