About Fábrica Galería / Club de Arte

Fábrica is a contemporary art gallery founded in 1981 in Asunción by Ricardo Migliorisi, Marta Salerno, and Osvaldo Salerno, who took the name from a like-named Italian gallery active at the time. It operates out of a boldly designed building conceived by architect and artist Carlos Colombino, in the heart of the city.

Over more than four decades it has staged around 300 exhibitions (a figure recorded around its 30th anniversary), spanning industrial and craft design objects, photography, painting, printmaking, installations, fashion, jewelry, antiques, and folk art. It shows work by Paraguayan artists recognized by critics and audiences alike, as well as emerging authors, and also hosts shows by foreign artists with ties to Paraguay.

It also operates as a "Club de Arte," with workshops and activities linked to contemporary Paraguayan art. It is directed by artist, producer, and curator Osvaldo Salerno, and is a member of the Paraguayan Association of Art Galleries (ASGAPA), taking part regularly in the Noche de Galerías (Gallery Night).
