Banco de la Nación Argentina

Banco de la Nación Argentina is an autarchic entity of the Argentine State that operates in Paraguay through its Asunción Agency. The agency stemmed from an agreement between the governments of Argentina and Paraguay to boost bilateral trade, ratified on November 10, 1935, and confirmed by exchange of notes on November 4, 1941; the agency itself was founded in 1942.

Over time it added a sub-agency in Villarrica in 1954 and sub-agencies in Concepción and Encarnación in 1956, along with a Customer Service Center in Paraguay. It offers financing for capital goods of Argentine origin, financing for turnkey export contracts, financing for technical installation and start-up services, and other foreign trade operations such as correspondent banking and letters of credit.
