About Shirosawa Company
Shirosawa Company S.A.I.C. was founded in Paraguay in 1971 by Toshikazu Shirosawa and is the pioneering company in Paraguayan sesame commercialization and export. It processes and exports white sesame, black sesame, organic sesame, and machine-harvested sesame to 17 destinations worldwide, including Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China, Mexico, Argentina, Uruguay, Turkey, United States, Dominican Republic, Netherlands, Israel, Germany, Poland, Vietnam, Brazil, and Greece. It also exports confectionery peanuts from Argentina, Brazil, the US, and Paraguay to Japan. According to Shirosawa data, Paraguay has commercialized 500,000 tons of sesame worth USD 600 million in the last 15 years.
