About Acahay
Acahay is a district in the Paraguarí department, set in Paraguay's Oriental Region. Its gently hilly territory of open fields favors extensive cattle ranching and short-cycle cultivation, the main livelihood activities of its rural communities. The district reflects the character of rural Paraguay: an economy tied to the land, festivities with Guaraní roots, and a community scale that sustains the bonds typical of the country's interior. Its green surroundings and subtropical climate are part of the characteristic landscape of central-southern Paraguarí.
