About Iruña

<p>Iruña is a district in the department of Alto Paraná, in the Eastern Region of Paraguay. Its name evokes historical and geographical references and is part of the mosaic of municipalities that make up eastern Paraguay's territorial landscape.</p><p>Agricultural activity, with soybean cultivation as the main activity, sustains the local economy. As in other districts of Alto Paraná, the district took its current form during the colonization and land redistribution process that took place in Paraguay throughout the twentieth century.</p>
