About Dr. Raúl Peña

<p>Dr. Raúl Peña is a district in the department of Alto Paraná that honors a figure from Paraguayan history in its name. It is located in the Eastern Region of the country, in a department that concentrates much of Paraguay's agro-industrial activity.</p><p>The local economy relies on extensive agriculture, primarily soybean cultivation, the dominant pattern in eastern Paraguay since the second half of the twentieth century.
