About Itá

<p>Itá is a district of the Central department located south of Asunción, whose name means «stone» in Guaraní, reflecting the landscape and place-name traditions of the region. It is one of the municipalities that make up the southern belt of the metropolitan area, with a craft tradition that includes pottery and ceramic production.</p><p>Itá's urban centre combines the character of a mid-sized city with the dynamics of Asunción's metropolitan expansion.
