About Itakyry

Itakyry is a district located in the interior of the department of Alto Paraná, in eastern Paraguay. Its name is of Guaraní origin, reflecting the historical presence of this people in the region. Like much of the department, its primary economic activity is agriculture, with soybean and grain cultivation at the forefront. The area is part of the agricultural corridor that defines Alto Paraná and contributes to the broader economy of eastern Paraguay.
