About Mburucuyá
Mburucuyá is currently considered one of the most expensive and exclusive neighborhoods of Asunción, located in the northeastern part of the capital, bounded by Avenida Primer Presidente, Julio Correa, Molas López, and Itapúa. The area was originally part of a large estate associated with the historical figure Gaspar Rodríguez de Francia, which also included the Botánico, Santísima Trinidad, and Cañada del Ybyray neighborhoods. Until the mid-20th century it was a forested area with fruit trees and a small population, known as Calle Pytã. Today it concentrates some of the most luxurious residences in the capital, with contemporary mansions, large lots, and quiet streets. Among its urban landmarks are the Capilla San Juan Bautista and the Darío Gómez Serrato plaza. The real estate offer favors premium single-family homes and, to a lesser extent, boutique buildings. Together with Villa Morra, Las Lomas, Mariscal López, and Recoleta, Mburucuyá leads the market in price per square meter, exceeding US$ 700. It is a frequent destination for foreign buyers seeking maximum privacy and space in a consolidated residential environment.
