About San Alfredo

<p>San Alfredo is a district in the department of Concepción, in northern Paraguay's Región Oriental. It bears the name of a Christian saint, a naming tradition widely followed by municipalities across Paraguay's interior since the colonial period.</p><p>The economic base of the district rests on extensive cattle ranching and small- and medium-scale agricultural production. For specialized services and commerce, residents travel to the city of Concepción, the nerve center of northern Paraguay on the Paraguay River.</p>
