About Ybytymi

Ybytymi is a district in the Paraguarí department whose Guaraní name refers to the hills and ridges that define its relief. Located in Paraguay's Oriental Region, its uneven landscape contrasts with the neighboring plains and offers a natural environment of dense vegetation characteristic of the foothills of the Ybytyruzú range. The district's topography has historically shaped its productive activities, with livestock raising on lower slopes and mountain farming in hillier areas. Its natural setting with ecotourism potential forms part of the chain of hills running through the east-central part of the department.
