About Ypejhú
Ypejhú is a rural district in the department of Canindeyú, in northeastern Paraguay. Its name, of Guaraní origin, is part of the rich indigenous toponymic tradition that persists in the geographical nomenclature of the country's eastern region. Like other districts in Canindeyú, Ypejhú has an economy centered on extensive agricultural production, with soybean cultivation predominating. The border with Brazil, a defining feature of the department, influences the commercial and demographic dynamics of the area.
