Mega Eletronicos is one of the main electronics department stores of Ciudad del Este and the Triple Border. It is part of Grupo Mega, a conglomerate that began operations in the late 1980s as a small store and that today also includes its own importers (such as Americas S.A.) and other business units. The store is installed in a characteristic building in downtown Ciudad del Este, on Avenida Monsenor Rodriguez corner of Ita Ybate, with a mirrored glass facade, and organizes its sales area on several floors and sublevels by category. It serves both wholesale and retail and is recognized for its wide variety, competitive prices and reliability. Its offer covers electronics and computing, telephony, home and kitchen, perfumery and cosmetics, beverages, sports and household items, with world-renowned brands among which Apple and Xiaomi stand out. In addition to its physical operation oriented to border shopping tourism, Mega Eletronicos has e-commerce (megaeletronicos.com and megaelectronicos.com.py) for buyers from Paraguay and Brazil.
