San Lorenzo Shopping opened its doors on May 10, 2012 and positions itself as a benchmark shopping and entertainment center for Greater Asuncion and its surroundings. It is strategically located at kilometer 15 of International Route No. 2 Mariscal Jose Felix Estigarribia, in the Santa Lucia area, San Lorenzo, on one of the busiest road corridors that connects the capital with the interior of the country. It required an investment of close to 15 million dollars taking into account its expansions, and generates direct and indirect employment for more than 1,500 people. The complex brings together 87 brands, of which around 12 correspond to the food court, plus 26 internal gondolas and external gondolas. Among its anchor stores are the Salemma supermarket and the Casa Parana store, along with a cinema with four screens and capacity for more than 200 people. It also offers parking, air-conditioned environments and family recreation areas. Its location on Route 2, its mix of commerce, gastronomy and entertainment, and its role as a meeting point for the inhabitants of San Lorenzo and neighboring cities distinguish it as one of the main commercial destinations of the eastern axis of the metropolitan area.
