Cooperativa 8 de Marzo

Cooperativa 8 de Marzo Ltda. originated in 1952 as the Savings and Credit Fund for Police Personnel, founded by a group of young people who met at the Police Officers' Circle. In 1996, in compliance with the cooperatives law, it was legally transformed: on December 5 of that year INCOOP issued the registration certificate for the Savings, Credit, Consumption, Production and Services Cooperative 8 de Marzo Ltda.

It currently has more than 56,000 members, 28 branches, and 3 agencies in addition to its head office. It offers cards, ordinary and extraordinary loans, savings accounts, and cooperative housing. Its head office is at Alberdi c/ Manduvira N° 1032, Asunción, with branches in cities such as San Lorenzo, Luque, Concepción, San Pedro, Santaní, Villarrica, Caaguazú, Coronel Oviedo, Encarnación, Ciudad del Este, Pilar, Pedro Juan Caballero, and Villa Hayes, among others.
