Banco Itaú Paraguay

Banco Itaú Paraguay S.A. is a bank headquartered in Asunción that entered Paraguay's financial market in March 1978 under the name Interbanco S.A. In 1995 it became part of Grupo Unibanco, and since July 2010, following the merger of Unibanco and Itaú that created Itaú Unibanco Holding S.A., it has operated under its current name as a member of that holding. According to the bank's own institutional page, it has 876 employees and 496,783 clients in the country.

The bank offers checking accounts, savings accounts, loans, cards, investments and insurance for individuals, plus foreign trade, treasury, and electronic payments and collections for businesses. It has more than 280 ATMs across the country and full-service branches in Asunción, San Lorenzo, Ñemby, Mariano R. Alonso, Ciudad del Este, Encarnación, Santa Rita, Caaguazú, Filadelfia and Katuete. It also offers homebanking and a mobile app for managing accounts digitally.
