About Azote'y
Azote'y is a district in the department of Concepción, in northern Paraguay's Región Oriental. Its name, featuring the glottal stop characteristic of the Guaraní language, reflects the linguistic and cultural roots that permeate the place names of northern Paraguay. Extensive cattle ranching and family farming are the predominant economic activities in the district. For commercial and administrative services, communities in the area rely on the city of Concepción, the departmental capital and commercial axis of northern Paraguay on the Paraguay River.
