Land for Sale Facing the Paraguay River in Carmelo Peralta
Carmelo Peralta, Alto Paraguay
Carmelo Peralta is a district in the Alto Paraguay department, in the far north of the Paraguayan Chaco. Like the rest of the department, it is characterized by very low population density, vast expanses of Chaco woodland, and an economy based primarily on extensive cattle ranching. The Paraguay River defines the eastern edge of the department and is the main communication route with the rest of the country. Conditions of isolation and scarce road infrastructure are common features throughout Alto Paraguay, considered the least populated department in Paraguay.
