2-Bedroom Apartment for Rent in Barrio Herrera, Asunción
Herrera, Asunción
North Zone
Herrera is a residential neighborhood located in the eastern part of Asunción, whose development began in the 1950s with the subdivision of several large properties, including one belonging to the Campos Cervera family. Originally it received families from the interior of the country seeking to settle in the capital, shaping it as a traditional middle-class neighborhood. It is strategically positioned near the corporate axis of Asunción and major avenues such as Santa Teresa, Madame Lynch, and Mariscal López, connecting it to shopping centers, schools, restaurants, and services. In the 1990s, a real estate boom transformed part of the urban landscape: many old houses were demolished to give way to modern residences with high walls, security systems, and, more recently, apartment buildings. The real estate offer is mixed: it combines classic family homes with contemporary developments at prices still more accessible than those of Villa Morra or Mariscal López. For the international investor, Herrera represents an entry opportunity into northern Asunción with a lower ticket price and good connections.
