About Villeta
Villeta is a district of the Central department located on the banks of the Paraguay River, south of Asunción, with one of the most active river ports in the region. Its position on the river has historically shaped its logistical and industrial vocation, establishing it as an important point for cargo transport and manufacturing within the Greater Asunción context. Its port activity sets Villeta apart from other districts in southern Central. Its connection to the Paraguay River hydrological system facilitates commercial exchange and national-scale distribution of goods, integrating Villeta into the logistics chains linking Paraguay to neighbouring countries via the waterway.
