Hernandarias' waterfront, with a beach and bike path on Lake Itaipú
About
Parque Tacurú Pucú is the name given, since 2024, to Hernandarias' waterfront promenade, run by Itaipú Binacional together with the municipality. The space combines the Playa Tacurú Pucú beach and the sports complex of the same name, along the shore of Lake Itaipú.
Its facilities include a 2,100-meter bike path, walking trails, playgrounds, outdoor exercise equipment, and sand courts for soccer, volleyball and beach tennis. The beach has lifeguards on duty during busier days.
