Paraguay's largest fair is in full swing. Expo Paraguay ARP 2026 — the 43rd edition of the International Expo Fair and simultaneously the 80th National Livestock Exhibition — opened its doors on July 11 and runs through July 26 at the fairgrounds of the Asociación Rural del Paraguay (ARP), located on Trans-Chaco Highway Km 14 in Mariano Roque Alonso.

Under the motto "What moves the country", the 2026 edition cements its status as Paraguay's premier productive and commercial showcase: 16 consecutive days combining livestock exhibitions, international business, entertainment and job opportunities for an expected 700,000 visitors.

Record-breaking figures

The 2026 edition surpasses all previous editions across virtually every metric:

  • Over 900 exhibitors representing more than 1,500 national and international brands.
  • 29 international allies from Latin America, North America and Asia.
  • USD 667 million in projected business intentions for the event.
  • 2,400 high-pedigree animals presented by 20 livestock associations, with the goal of surpassing G. 21 billion mobilized at livestock auctions.
  • A confirmed historical record: a 1,145-kilogram specimen in the bovine exhibition.
  • Over 2,880 m² dedicated to industrial innovation and more than 30 technology and automation exhibitors.

Livestock is the historic core of the event — the National Livestock Exhibition has run for 80 uninterrupted editions — but in 2026, technology, automation and industry have a record presence, reflecting the country's economic diversification.

Official inauguration: July 20

While the fairgrounds opened on Saturday July 11 at 10:00 to large crowds, the official inauguration is set for Monday July 20 at 17:00, with national authorities, business sector representatives, production guilds and economic stakeholders in attendance. This is the formal act that marks the start of the second cycle of the fair and typically concentrates the most important business rounds.

Events calendar and shows

The Central Arena entertainment lineup is one of the fair's biggest draws:

  • July 11: Néstor en Bloque and Marilina
  • July 12: Expo Asador — barbecue competition
  • July 16: Expo Empleo job fair at Salón Germán Ruiz (free admission)
  • July 18: Wisin, Kchiporros and DJ Amílcar
  • July 19: World Cup Final Fan Fest + Character Parade
  • July 22: Extreme motocross show
  • July 24: Miss Expo 2026 pageant
  • July 25: Ke Personajes, Talento de Barrio and DJ Cami
  • July 26: Networking Gala (closing ceremony)

The July 19 Fan Fest is one of the big novelties: with Paraguay at the World Cup, the ARP set up a giant screen at the fairgrounds so visitors can follow the World Cup Final simultaneously with the fair.

Expo Empleo: 678 job vacancies

On July 16, the Expo Empleo was held at Salón Germán Ruiz with free admission. The country's leading companies offered 678 job opportunities across more than 20 economic sectors, from agro-industry and technology to financial services and logistics. According to the Ministry of Labor (MTESS), over 2,000 job seekers visited the space throughout the day.

What sectors are on display

The 2026 Expo covers virtually the entire Paraguayan economy:

  • Livestock and genetics: National Exhibition with 2,400 animals from three breeds and three-year selection programs.
  • Agro-industry: agricultural machinery, fertilizers, seeds, irrigation technology.
  • Food and beverages: national and international producers.
  • Technology and IT: over 30 exhibitors with drone demonstrations and industrial automation.
  • Real estate and construction: developers, materials, interiors.
  • Financial sector: with ueno bank as the official bank of the edition.
  • Retail, jewelry and accessories.
  • Transport and logistics.

The ARP fairgrounds are located on Trans-Chaco Highway Km 14, in Mariano Roque Alonso, about 20 minutes from downtown Asunción. Doors open daily from 10:00 through late evening on show nights.

80 years of livestock, 43 years of international fair

Expo Paraguay has two simultaneous ages: the National Livestock Exhibition marks its 80th edition of uninterrupted history — even through years of economic and political crises — while the International Expo Fair reaches its 43rd version, reflecting the commercial openness Paraguay has pursued since the 1980s.

What began as a livestock show to assess the quality of Paraguay's national herd has become the country's largest business platform: 16 days in which Paraguay shows the world its productive capacity, attracts investors, closes contracts, and celebrates everything the country produces — with music and barbecue thrown in for good measure.

Through July 26, the Mariano Roque Alonso fairgrounds are the economic heart of Paraguay.
