Paraguay Brings Together 23 Countries at the FEPY 2026 International Business Roundtable

Paraguay is increasingly positioning itself as a regional business hub, and the Feria Empresarial del Paraguay (FEPY) 2026 — or Paraguay Business Fair — is the clearest proof of that ambition. The second edition of the event, held from June 3 to 5, 2026 at the Comité Olímpico Paraguayo (COP) in Luque, brought together more than 1,100 participants from 23 countries at its International Business Roundtable, cementing Paraguay's status as a meeting point between local companies and international buyers, investors, and strategic partners.

What is FEPY and who organizes it?

FEPY is Paraguay's most important business fair, organized by the Unión Industrial Paraguaya (UIP) — the country's main industrial association — with support from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC), its export promotion agency REDIEX, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In this second edition, the event was integrated into the Paraguay Business Week framework, a MIC initiative aimed at positioning the country as a destination for international investment and business generation.

The event combines three pillars: a multi-sector exhibition featuring more than 150 exhibiting companies, an International Business Roundtable with pre-scheduled B2B meetings, and a strategic leadership agenda of summits, forums, and high-level sectoral gatherings.

23 countries, 4 continents

The FEPY 2026 International Business Roundtable reached an unprecedented level of internationalization. The 23 confirmed countries span the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Oceania:

  • South America: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay
  • North America and the Caribbean: United States, Dominican Republic
  • Europe: Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland, Slovenia, North Macedonia
  • Asia: China, Malaysia, Pakistan, Turkey
  • Oceania: Australia

Of the more than 1,100 registered participants, roughly 48% were international — led by Argentina and Brazil — while 52% came from Paraguayan companies. Meetings were held in person (48.67%), hybrid (37.78%), and virtual format (13.55%), extending the platform's geographic reach considerably.

Sectors and products with international scope

The business roundtable covered a multi-sector spectrum reflecting Paraguay's productive diversity. Key industries represented included:

  • Food industry and agribusiness (pork, beef, citrus)
  • Organic yerba mate targeting European markets
  • Manufacturing and industrial goods
  • Business services and technology
  • Innovation, startups, and digital transformation (with participation from Google and Oracle)

Highlights within the program included the first Paraguayan Pork Industry Roundtable — with Taiwan identified as a key market — and the official launch of Paraguay Exporta+, a new MIC-REDIEX platform designed to accelerate the international expansion of Paraguayan companies.

The numbers speak: USD 260 million in commercial intentions

The first edition of FEPY, held in 2025, set a compelling benchmark: more than 450 companies from 17 countries, 3,400 business meetings, and USD 260 million in recorded commercial intentions. The 2026 edition aimed to surpass those figures, with 338 meetings pre-scheduled before the official opening and expectations of reaching over 3,000 B2B interactions across the three days.

"We are working to generate greater opportunities for the country in terms of business generation and investment."

— Enrique Duarte, President of the Unión Industrial Paraguaya

Why this matters for investors and business operators in Paraguay

For a foreign investor or business executive, FEPY is more than a trade fair: it is a calibrated window into the real state of Paraguay's productive economy. In a single event, it is possible to identify local suppliers, evaluate industrial partners, meet with government representatives, and connect with other international players already operating in the country.

Paraguay offers structural advantages that few economies in the region can match: a low tax burden, exchange rate stability, some of the world's cheapest electricity, and a strategic geographic position at the heart of MERCOSUR. The FEPY 2026 network — spanning 23 countries and over 1,100 participants — acts as a catalyst for those advantages, turning interest into concrete meetings and meetings into real business.

If you are evaluating Paraguay as a destination for investment, export, or commercial expansion, the FEPY International Business Roundtable has become one of the most relevant trade events in the region today.
