About Ybycuí

<p>Ybycuí is home to Parque Nacional Ybycuí, one of the most important protected areas in Paraguay's Oriental Region. The park shelters an extensive humid subtropical forest with waterfalls, crystal-clear streams, and natural swimming holes that make it an ecotourism and recreation destination for visitors from across the country.</p><p>Within the park stand the ruins of La Rosada, a historic iron foundry that operated during the War of the Triple Alliance in the nineteenth century, making Ybycuí a site of historical as well as natural interest. The combination of natural and cultural heritage sets this district apart as one of the most visited in the Paraguarí department.</p>
