About Tobatí
Tobatí is recognized as one of Paraguay's main artisan centers, particularly renowned for wood carving and ceramics. Its craftspeople produce pieces of great cultural value that blend Guaraní indigenous tradition with colonial influence, and their workshops are regularly visited by buyers and tourists from across the country. The district sits in the northeastern part of Cordillera, in a hilly landscape dominated by Cerro Tobatí, the area's emblematic geographical landmark. This combination of artisan heritage and natural surroundings makes Tobatí a leading cultural and tourism destination within the department.
