Cattle Ranch Property with Paraná River Frontage and Port Potential in Ñeembucú
Mayor José de Jesús Martínez, Ñeembucú
Centro
Mayor José de Jesús Martínez is a district of the Ñeembucú department in southwestern Paraguay, named after a Paraguayan military figure in tribute to his legacy. The district occupies the humid plain characteristic of the department, with marshes and natural grasslands typical of the Esteros del Ñeembucú present throughout. Extensive cattle ranching is the predominant economic activity in this rural territory. Like the rest of Ñeembucú, the district is shaped by the history of the War of the Triple Alliance, a conflict that defined much of the regional identity of southwestern Paraguay during the nineteenth century.
