About Nueva Londres

Nueva Londres is a district in the department of Caaguazú, in central-eastern Paraguay. Its name evokes the tradition of naming new colonies after Old World place names, a practice widespread in Paraguay during the inland colonization processes of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Agricultural activity is the district's economic pillar, with soybean, maize, and cattle production integrated into Caaguazú's productive corridor. The district retains the rural character typical of communities in the departmental interior.
